Guided walk: The Man Who Gave His Name to Barry

29/06/2021 • 2:30 pm3:00 pm BST

Free

Join artist and storyteller Claire Boot on a guided walk on Barry Island to hear the story of St Baruc, the saint who gave Barry its name.

Walk starts at the top of the steps behind the ‘Witch’s Hat’ (this is the canopied events space above the Eastern Promenade), and ends at the Chapel of St Baruc on Friar’s Road.

The guided walk will last for approximately 30 minutes and it is a 10 minute walk back to the starting point.

Notes: The walk follows a footpath without any steps but the path is quite steep where it goes over the headland above Nell’s Point.

Places are very limited due to social distancing. To book, email mvelios@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
